Lufthansa is an industry giant, currently operating over 400 subsidiary and associate companies around the world. They are one of the largest and most established airlines in the world and have earned a sterling reputation for quality, safety, innovation, and reliability. The airline portion of the Lufthansa Group serves over 280 destinations in 83 countries on four continents. Lufthansa is also a proud member of Star Alliance, the world's largest airline network.

Currently, they will let small cats and dogs travel in the cabin of the aircraft, as long as all requirements are met. They also offer options for a variety of animals to be transported in the cargo hold, either as checked baggage or as manifest cargo. If you plan on travelling with your pet, you should notify them ahead of time to make sure that your furry friend will be able to travel with you.

If you are unable to travel with your pet

Lufthansa Cargo has many options for pets travelling unaccompanied. Their Live/td program offers species-specific transportation and care options for any animal that can be legally shipped. If you are travelling through Germany, the Frankfurt Animal Lounge is a state-of-the-art facility designed specifically to offer animals of any size or species all the comforts of home.

Codeshare flights
