Note: This is the first public off-leash dog park in the city of Columbus. It consists of 3 fenced acres in Big Walnut Park, 2 double-gated entrances, pond access for the dogs to swim and lighting. There are separate small dog and large dog areas. There is a porta-potty facility on site. There is no fee to use the park but please follow park rules!

Pooch Playground Dog Park (at Pizzurro Park)

Note: 2 acres, this park is just west of the softball fields. It will be expanded to include two fields (5-6 acres) and a creek for swimming. It has a separate small dog area, benches, drinking water, and shade trees.

This hotel allows up to two pets per room and also has other amenities such as an indoor/outdoor pool, wireless internet, and complementary breakfast. Another popular pet friendly hotel is the Hilton Columbus at Easton, which allows pets up to seventy-five pounds. This hotel also offers a pool table, fitness center, pool, and other amenities. The Residence Inn Columbus Easton allows pets and offers things like free high speed wireless internet, a fitness center, and outdoor sports center, an outdoor pool, and a whirlpool. One great hotel that is also relatively inexpensive is the Red Roof Inn Columbus West. This place allows pets to stay without any additional cost and also provides wireless internet. The Comfort Inn and Suites located downtown allows pets and has an outdoor pool, free wireless internet, and a complimentary breakfast. Some other pet friendly hotels in Columbus, Ohio are Baymont Inn and Suites, Best Western, Days Inn, Candlewood Suites, Doubletree Guest Suites, and Econo Lodge. Some hotels have limits on how many pets one may bring as well as how large and what breeds the pets may be. Overall, it is best to call ahead and reserve a room when bringing an animal.
